Devil's Night!
It was a dark and stormy night...
I really love the fall, especially around Halloween time. I know that doesn't make me all that unique, but I don't care--being totally unique and cooler-than-everybody-else is something I cared about when I was in my twenties and I'm glad to have left that attitude behind. Since I don't really get trick-or-treaters where I live, I have to do other things to be festive for the holiday. Usually that involves listening to spooky music and watching spooky shows/films. This year, I saw Evil Dead II and The Crow with my partner, and I took the time to watch Scary Movie. All good movies! Oh! And I recently pirated came into possession of Off the Bone and Psychedelic Jungle by the Cramps. I've come to appreciate their style more since I first started listening to them, and it's driven me to listen to some early rock and roll, too.
Still, I don't feel like I'm doing enough this year. I should watch at least one or two more scary movies before it's too late, and maybe listen through the Misfits box set once or twice. And maybe I can buy those Halloween-themed Oreo knock-offs they sell at Trader Joe's, those are super delicious. Granted, I'm supposed to be on a cut right now and I'm almost certainly gonna feel like shit after going through the whole box, but fuck it! I want those goddamn sandwich cookies. Anyway, hope anyone reading this has a happy Halloween! Later!
